Aunt Let was affectionately loved by all. She arrived in the UK from her native country of Jamaica in the early 60s. She has a wonderful network of family and friends alike.
Everyone knew 'Aunt Let','Let''Leticia' or 'Mrs Rose' - 'Sister Rose,'Aunty Rose.' She was a kind person who was always willing to listen and help. Aunt Let was a devoted Christian and took her faith very seriously and encouraged all around her to value God's teachings. She adored fresh flowers and always had them in her Dining Room, Living Room and Hallway. She baked many cakes for weddings, christenings and birthdays and spent much of her time preparing fantastic Jamaican cuisine. For all who tasted the 'hand' of Aunt Let, you can truly say she was a cook and a half!!!! She held lots of celebration parties ensuring that family and friends came together on a regular basis, especially on Boxing Day. I hope our generation will continue this legacy as it has now sewn the seed where we look to our elders with respect and for guidance.
She played a huge part in my life and was instrumental in raising me as a child with my parents. I spent lots of time with Aunt Let, she took me all over London by tube, bus and by foot as a child/teenager. She taught me many things which I will cherish and have passed on to my own children. I was fortunate to celebrate my 40th birthday with Aunt Let present, this I will hold dear in my heart forever. She loved children and had Nieces,Nephews,God Children and many other children who she displayed kindness and affection to. 'Crunch' aka 'Fonz',,'Sugar Plum','Aunt Daisy', you all know who you are, she loved you 110 per cent!
Aunt Let lived in our family house for approximately 2 years of which I enjoyed having her 'live downstairs' and I could visit her when I liked! The only thing she didn't like was when my siblings and I jumped up and down upstairs and disturbed her!!! OUch!
She was a lovable character who was not afraid to speak her mind! If you didn't like to hear the truth or face reality - don't ask Aunt Let for her point of view!! (LOL) She was a straight talker and did not take any prisoners!!
Aunt Let you are dearly missed and will always be loved and remembered in the hearts of everyone who's life you touched.
You are gone, but not forever. We will see you again in a better place.

Missing You ...............
What can I say, I have known you all my life, in Jamaica as well as here in England. I know your cherished daughter has been gone for a long time now, but at last mother and daughter has been reunited - what a celebration you must both be having. I am really sad that you have gone so soon because I no longer have another aunt to speak to - and to remind me of my beginnings and how things used to be. God Bless and please tell Aunty Ilene that she is sadly missed by me also. Love Claudette
